Property Rights -
Ron Paul won't take away your land. He is firmly against emminent domain. Taken directly from his campaign website:
"We must stop special interests from violating property rights and literally driving families from their homes, farms and ranches.
Today, we face a new threat of widespread eminent domain actions as a result of powerful interests who want to build a NAFTA superhighway through the United States from Mexico to Canada.
We also face another danger in regulatory takings: Through excess regulation, governments deprive property owners of significant value and use of their properties — all without paying “just compensation.”
Property rights are the foundation of all rights in a free society. Without the right to own a printing press, for example, freedom of the press becomes meaningless. The next president must get federal agencies out of these schemes to deny property owners their constitutional rights to life, liberty, and property."
Money and Taxes -Ron Paul supports a sound monetary policy. He has studied economics and knows our current system is doomed to failure. The government is spending too much money, and our currency is losing it's value. Ron Paul understands the importance of lower taxes and a currency backed by something tangible. No longer will the government just be able to print money.
Under Ron Paul's plan, we wouldn't have to pay taxes. By cutting foreign spending and reigning in the government, Paul could save enough money to eliminate the need for the IRS. When you're strugging to make ends meet, like many farmers are, any break is a welcome break. Ron Paul is the only candidate who can actually deliver on this without driving us further into debt.
Likewise, a monetary system backed by gold or precious metals can't collapse the way that our dollar is poised to do.
The Second Ammendment -
Ron Paul is the only candidate running with a 100% rating in backing your right to own firearms. All farmers know that a good gun can come in handy out on the farm, whether it be for hunting, defense, or aiding in other farm activities. None of the other candidates can be trusted with our guns. Only Ron Paul has the record to back up his claims about believing in the Second Ammedment.
