A Farmer's Story This page is about me, and why I made a site to tell my fellow farmers and country folk about Ron Paul. My name is Torrey. I live in a rural agricultural region in North-Central Pennsylvania, not too far from where Ron Paul grew up. It saddened me when I found out that Ron Paul's support was lower than it should be in Iowa. I heard that many farmers did not support Ron Paul, and this confused me. I finally decided that it might be because my fellow farmers don't know what Ron Paul stands for, because if they did, they would have to back him. ![]() That's me to the right in the picture. I'm participating in one of our nation's great pastimes, a county fair. I raised this cow on my farm and entered it in the McKean County Fair in August this year. In this picture, I'm discussing my heifer with a judge. I enjoy showing at the county fair. From talking to other farmers at the fair, however, I realize that our way of life is threatened. ![]() I
don't look as good as Ron Paul does on his tractor, but this is me
driving my 1957 Farmall 350 that I restored. It's important
agricultural traditions like the family farm that we must preserve, and
Ron Paul understands this. ![]() In the picture to the left, you can clearly see how I turned into a Ron Paul activist. After learning that Ron Paul was the only one who would preserve my way of life, I had to do something. So I started a meetup group, started handing out information, putting up signs, and yes, holding rallies at busy intersections and getting right out in the traffic with my Ron Paul fliers. We all have to do our part, and I love my lifestyle so much that the thought of losing it makes me sad. I'm going to do everything I can to get this man in office. I'm not just doing this for me, I'm doing it for YOU, my fellow farmers and country folk. I am just a country boy from a small town in Pennsylvania. I enjoy my rural lifestyle. I enjoy hunting, fishing, my tractor, and tending my livestock. These things are all precious to me, and I must fight to keep them. The way things are heading scares me, and Ron Paul is the only one who offers answers. I am the organizer of Ron Paul Meetup 731. Contact me through there if you want to talk to me. I welcome all questions and comments. I hope that you will understand now why I'm doing all of this. I hope that you can see as clearly as I can where our country is headed, and why we need Ron Paul. I don't care what you do, as long as you do something to support Ron Paul. Kick in a few bucks to the campaign. Make a sign and put it on your barn like I did. Tell your friends about Ron Paul. Iowa is an important early primary state. My heart is with you! I am one of you, and I hope you will wake up before it's too late. Likewise, New Hampshire! There are many great farms and country folk in New Hampshire, most of whom just desire peace and to be left alone. You have to support Ron Paul if that's what you desire. We need to keep government out of our lifes, and off of our farms. Most of all - we want to keep our farms. So let's do this. In Liberty, Torrey Copyright 2007, Farmers for Ron Paul |
